Individual Psychotherapy
Therapy offers a thoughtful space to explore difficult experiences and create meaningful change.
Service Description
Individual therapy is offered to adults and adolescents and typically takes place on a weekly basis. I work with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including: -Depression -Anxiety -Trauma -Anger management -Relationship difficulties -Somatic complaints -Bereavement and loss -Sexual orientation and gender identity -Sexual difficulties -Adjustment concerns -Life stage difficulties -Postnatal depression and stress -Fertility concerns and difficulties related to pregnancy -Addiction -Self-esteem difficulties -Personal growth and self-exploration My approach to therapy is generally insight-oriented. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their difficulties, and the underlying origins of their concerns. Where appropriate, therapy may involve an in-depth process in which past experiences are thoughtfully explored in relation to present challenges, within a supportive and containing therapeutic space. Meaningful change can emerge through the insights developed in therapy. This process supports clients in understanding themselves more fully and in responding to their experiences with greater awareness, rather than repeating unhelpful or self-defeating patterns.
